The Waterloo Wonders were a high school basketball team from the small rural community of Waterloo, Lawrence County, Ohio—During the Great Depression, a small team of boys with a great coach went on to win back to back state championships, and were so magically good they played against college teams to sold out crowds. Mr. Burdette met with the players decades ago, and has updated his book on this amazing team who practiced in barns and created their own ‘Harlem Globetrotter” style during their reign between 1933-1935.
